CONTEST
RULES
In collaboration with
CAA-Québec - Residential Service and its recommended suppliers, Jacques
Beaulieu Consultant Inc. is organizing a contest open to the general public. The
Contest aims at promoting the housing sector.
PRIZES
Eleven (11) prizes will be awarded in this Contest.
These prizes have a total value of $10,000 and are described as follows:
Prizes must
be accepted as described in these rules and may not be transferred to another
person, substituted for another prize or exchanged in whole or in part for
cash, or be the object of a claim for payment. The administrative arrangements
for the awarding of prizes to winners will be determined by the participating CAA-Québec - Residential Service recommended
suppliers and will correspond to their usual policies and business practices in
these matters. Winners will be made aware of these arrangements in advance and
will be required to accept these terms in order to claim their prize.

The odds of winning
a prize in this Contest depend upon the total number of eligible entries
received.
CONTEST RULES
·
The Contest officially begins on March 8, 2010, and
ends on March 28, 2010, at 5 p.m.
·
Until March 28, 2010, at 5 p.m., Contest entry forms
may be available at various locations, notably in the sales offices of
participating builders registered in the Open House Weekends in Montréal
campaign, in participating branches or places of business of sponsors of this
campaign or companies with which they are affiliated, or at the 2010 Montréal
National Home Show.

Until March 28, 2010, at 5 p.m., Contest entry forms
will be published on several occasions in the Journal de Montréal or other
media retained by the Contest organizers.
·
Until March 28, 2010, at 5 p.m., entrants can register
for the Contest by visiting the www.visiteslibresamontreal.com web site.
In these cases, a single Contest entry per person per day will be permitted per
valid email address.
·
Facsimiles or manual or mechanical reproductions of
official Contest entries will not be accepted.
·
The format and layout of official Contest entry forms
that will be accepted by the Contest organizers may vary according to media
used.
·
Participants must correctly answer the mathematical
skill-testing question and complete all other fields appearing on the official
entry form for the “Open House in Montréal / My 2010 Projects” Contest,
specifically: first and last name, address, age, telephone number.
·
To be eligible for the draw, all printed entries must
be mailed in an envelope with sufficient postage to the following address: “Open
House in Montréal / My 2010 Projects” Contest, postal outlet Sainte-Catherine East,
P.O. 60568, Montréal, Québec H1V 1X0. Or, entries may be deposited at any other
location indicated to participants by the Contest managers.

The entrants selected will be determined at random
from among all eligible paper and electronic entries received. Electronic
entries will be printed for the purpose of the draw by the managers and
organizers of the Contest and added to the batch of ballots printed on the date
of the draw.
·
The organizers and managers of the Contest, their
agents as well as Contest sponsors will not be held responsible for the loss or
alteration, by any means or circumstance whatsoever, of an entry form.
·
If a selected entrant does not meet the eligibility criteria
or any other requirement as described in these rules, the entrant will be
disqualified and another draw will be made until a winner is determined.
·
Selected entrants will be contacted by telephone
within ten (10) days following the draw. Any selected entrant who cannot be
reached despite the reasonable and appropriate efforts of the Contest organizers
during this ten (10) day period will be disqualified and another draw will be
conducted to award the prize.
·
Selected entrants must sign the Release of Liability
and Acknowledgement form to confirm that they have read, understood and
complied with these rules. This form will be sent by the Contest organizers or
managers by mail and must be returned to the Contest organizers or managers
within ten (10) days of receipt.
·
Upon receipt of the signed Release of Liability and
Acknowledgement form, the Contest organizers or managers will inform the winner
of the terms and conditions for claiming the prize. If the person selected has
not complied with the conditions specified above or with a clause of these Contest
rules, the person will be disqualified and another draw will be held until another
person is declared winner.

By accepting the prize, the winner acknowledges that
the provision of services related to the prize is entirely and solely the
responsibility of the service providers engaged by the winner for this purpose.
·
By accepting the prize, the winner acknowledges that
the Contest organizers or managers or any Contest sponsor cannot be held
responsible for use of the prize awarded in connection with this Contest and,
as such, they assume no liability with respect to the prize or events arising
from the Contest.
·
The Contest organizers and managers remain the
exclusive owners of printed or electronic Contest entry forms at all times. Under
no cirsumstances will these forms be returned. Barring a notice to the contrary,
and with the exception of requests from entrants wishing to obtain information
from sponsors, no communications or correspondence will be entered into with
entrants, except with the winners. Furthermore, Contest entrants agree in
advance that the Contest managers or organizers, at their discretion, may, from
time to time, send information electronically about other opportunities for
participation in Contests under their management.
·
For purposes of this Contest, the entrant selected and
eventually declared the winner is the person whose name, address, telephone
number and valid e-mail address have been used and appear on the entry form
that was drawn. Where appropriate, it is to this person that the prize will be
awarded under the terms provided in these rules.
·
All entries are subject to verification by the Contest
organizers or managers or their agents. Any entry that is fraudulent,
reproduced by hand or any other means, illegible, incomplete or otherwise not
in accordance with the Contest rules will be automatically rejected and will
not be eligible for the prize draw.
·
The Contest organizers reserve the right to make any verifications
deemed necessary before proceeding with the awarding of prizes. If one of the selected
entrants is not eligible or entered the Contest in a way that violates these
rules or would be unfair to other entrants (e.g. entries exceeding the permitted
limit, etc.) the entrant will be disqualified and may be reported to legal
authorities.

The winners release the Contest organizers and
managers, their affiliates, their advertising and promotional agencies, their
employees, agents and representatives from any and all liability they may incur
as a result of their participation in the Contest, whether in compliance with these
rules or not, and from any damages resulting from the acceptance or use of any
prize.
·
By entering or attempting to enter this Contest,
entrants release and hold harmless the Contest organizers or managers, their
affiliates, their advertising and promotional agencies, their employees, agents
and representatives, from any damages that may occur as a result of entering or
attempting to enter the Contest, including any injury to an entrant or others,
or damage to an entrant's computer or any other computer arising from participation
in the Contest or the downloading of promotional material for this Contest.
·
In addition, within the limits of the law, the entrant
acknowledges that the decisions and interpretations of these rules made or permitted
by the Contest organizers or managers, their affiliates, their advertising and
promotional agencies, their employees, agents and representatives are final and
without appeal.
·
The Contest organizers, their affiliates, their
advertising and promotional agencies, their employees, agents and
representatives assume no responsibility for any computer systems or equipment,
software, problems or technical malfunction with any telephone network or
lines, online computer systems, servers, access providers, failure of any
e-mail system, failure in transmitting the entry form or traffic congestion on
the Internet or at any Web site, or any combination thereof limiting or
impeding any person’s ability to enter the Contest.
·
In the event where the computer system was unable to
save all Contest entries during the Contest period for any reason whatsoever,
or if the Contest had to be terminated in whole or in part before the Contest
closing date under the terms of these rules, the Contest organizers will
conduct the random selection of winners from all eligible entries registered
during the Contest period or, where applicable, up to the date of the event that
resulted of the termination of the Contest.
·
Any use of software or a computer program to
automatically submit a Contest entry is prohibited. Any person using, or
attempting to use, such means to enter the Contest will be disqualified. Any
attempt to deliberately damage any web site or to undermine the legitimate
operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should
such an attempt be made, the Contest organizers reserve the right to seek
remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal
prosecution. In the event that a person has entered this Contest by means that
do not comply with these rules and/or has submitted more entries than are permitted
by these rules, the person will be disqualified and all entries already
submitted would be considered null and void. Using an invalid e-mail address
will void the entry. Multiple entries from the same e-mail address will void
the entry.

The Contest organizers reserve the right, at their
sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this Contest should a unauthorized human
act or any other cause beyond their reasonable control corrupt the security,
impartiality or proper administration of the Contest, subject to the authority
of the Régie des alcools, des courses et
des jeux du Québec.
·
In all cases, the Contest organizers, their
affiliates, their advertising and promotional agencies, suppliers of goods or
services related to this Contest and their employees, agents and representatives
cannot be required to award more prizes than those indicated in these rules or prizes
other than those described in these rules.
·
All decisions of the Contest organizers or their
representatives regarding this Contest are final and without appeal, subject to
any decision of the Régie des alcools,
des courses et des jeux du Québec in connection with any matter within its
jurisdiction.
